Click the button to be redirected to myreps.datamade.us. There, you will be able to search for your representatives based on your address (or where you are registered to vote!)
Be sure to check the filter box marked federal. This will help us find out who your U.S. Senators and U.S Representatives are. These are the government officials that you want to reach out to.
Now that we have found out who your representatives are, it’s time to get in contact! There are several ways you can reach the office of your congress members as a constituent on behalf of your community. You are not limited to one communication method, and you can contact them more than once. To get started, we have several appropriate templates you can use and repurpose. You can fill out a contact form on your representative’s website, make a call, send a letter, or write an email.
Decide if you would like to follow up your email, call, or letter to your representative by scheduling a meeting with them and their staffers. Click the button if you’d like more information about meeting requests and a written template to customize or repurpose for a phone call. Constituents requesting meetings with their reps is the most impactful way to share your concerns.
Well have some incredibly brilliant, passionate, and well-spoken volunteers who would be more than happy to be present with you if you request a meeting to discuss the issue with your representatives and their staffers. If this is something you’d be interested in, please use the button to get in touch with us, and we will have a JCMA member reach out to you.
